Tell me more about Toastmasters International?
Toastmasters International uses a tried‑and‑tested programme that has helped people build confidence in speaking and leadership for over a century. Through practical learning and supportive feedback, members develop real world communication skills that grow stronger with every session.
Do I need any experience to visit?
None at all. Many people join us with zero public speaking experience. Whether you are terrified of the spotlight or just want to polish your skills, you’ll find a starting point that’s right for you.
Will I have to speak at my first meeting?
Only if you want to! There is absolutely no pressure to speak. Most guests choose to simply observe and enjoy the evening to see how it all works.
What if I feel nervous?
That is completely normal, almost everyone feels that way at first! You’ll be in a room full of people who have been exactly where you are and are cheering for you to succeed.
What happens at a typical meeting?
We follow a structured but relaxed format: prepared talks, a session for impromptu speaking, and supportive feedback. Everything is explained as we go, so you’ll never feel lost.
Who joins the club?
People from all walks of life! Our members join to ace work presentations, prepare for personal challenges like Best Man speeches, take on leadership roles, or simply feel more comfortable in everyday social situations.
Do I need to join straight away?
Not at all. We encourage you to visit two or three times to make sure we’re the right fit for you before you decide to become a member.
When and where do we meet?
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Barford Memorial Hall, Church St, Barford, Warwick, CV35 8EN.
Do I need to book?
You are more than welcome to just turn up, but if you let us know you’re coming, we can make sure someone is there to greet you and show you the ropes!
Ready to take the first step?
